 | Computer Keyboards Why would I need a music keyboard on my PC? There are many different reasons; perhaps your regular keyboard's in a different location to the PC, maybe you don't have a MIDI keyboard, or space limits your keyboard size. Why are MIDI keyboards so low priced compared to regular electronic keyboards? Master Keyboards don't have any of their own sounds, they use the sounds of the PC soundcard to produce musical notes, and so, you don't need to pay for sounds you already have on your PC. Do I have to use a PC with a master keyboard? No, this keyboard is provided with a MIDI out socket for controlling external MIDI devices, but remember that at least one of the MIDI units must be a sound generator. Also, you may need a power supply when not connected to the PC.
