Peter says:

"Most people hate playing scales, and yet they are the very foundation of a good, competent performance. Learn a few scales and not only will you lose your fear of 'difficult' keys, but your fingers will begin to fall comfortably and naturally onto the right notes every time - and you will never fun out of fingers. But here's the dilemma - to improve your playing you need the fingering competence of a scale-player, and yet you only play the organ or keyboard for fun! It is your hobby, and having to practise something you don't like will turn it into a chore - and that must never happen.

So let me see if I can improve your right had skills, but at the same time keeping my promise to you - that you will continue to always enjoy your hobby."

Peter really does manage to do this with simple exercises based around scales, with fingering included of course, and lots of tips to help you remember and understand scales. But this book goes much further than just talking about scales. The mysteries of right hand fingering will be unravelled, so that you can play right hand countermelodies and broken chords smoothly, and play arpeggios and dominant 7ths for use in intros. The wrist doesn't get neglected either.

The book ends with a great arrangement of Careless Love for you to try out all the techniques which Peter has talked about. Then there are some great 'endings' for you to use with the right hand.

This 20 page book is clearly written in understandable English. The music is in easy to read, clear, good-sized print. It really will help you to 'play better'!
